Supervised Visits

Our Goal

To allow parents to play with, listen to, and connect with their child(ren), and model healthy behavior in a safe, inviting and comfortable environment.

Our Supervised Visit Room has...

• Toys, coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals.
• A table and chairs for eating a nutritious snack.
• Books for reading.
• Full carpeting and pillows to play on the floor.

Scheduling
A social worker or FSN worker will contact you to arrange a regular visit time. Visits can be M-F, 8am to 5pm and usually last from one to two hours.

Transportation
Transportation for the child(ren) will be arranged by the social worker or FSN worker.

Accommodations
If approved by the FSN supervisor, visits can possibly take place in the community.

Throughout each visit, an FSN worker will be in the room with you and your child(ren). Their role is to observe parenting skills and make sure that both parents and children are safe.

FSN workers are required to be present during the entire visit. We are mandated by law to report any suspected or observed child abuse. Although parents may not be alone with their child(ren), there are still lots of opportunities to have quality time by playing and talking.
