Break Down the Barriers Help Your Child Challenged with a Mental Health Issue

You're invited to join a support network for parents of children with emotional and mental health challenges.

Montana has received a grant through SAMHSA to provide help for families with a child with mental illness. Click here to read the invitation letter or call our office for more information.

Who We Are

  • We are parents, relatives and professionals interested in children with mental illnesses and emotional problems.
  • We want to ensure that children with mental illness have community-based services and high quality educational, medical and rehabilitation services.
  • We are a statewide group that seeks to support parents of children with emotional disabilities.
  • We partner with communities throughout the state.

Education

We attempt to become as well informed as possible about the best practices for our children's needs.

Information

We willingly share information and emotional support with each other so that together we are stronger in our efforts to meet the challenges of mental illness and emotional problems.

Please complete this survey "Strategic Progress Assessment Report (SPAR)" to help gather information and identify service gaps within the various regions of Montana, the degree to which the family and child are involved as partners in the individual's treatment plan and whether providers are sensitive to providing services within the cultural norms of the family and are community based.
